Catch and Release Sturgeon Fishing – Astoria

Although I do miss a packed freezer of sturgeon meat every year there is still something to be said about a full day of catch and release sturgeon fishing.    Sturgeon fishing for sport is still permitted, however no retention is allowed- today we caught at least 12 of these keeper size and larger.

Brand new Willies Drift Boat

We can’t wait to pick up this beauty Monday.  Chuck at Willie’s boats just sent us a little preview of her, she might be as shiny as the steelhead we’ve been catching.  We will have to put her in the water soon to compare :)

I’m booking steelhead trips now for the upcoming months,  we didn’t know exactly when the boat would be done so I am pretty open with available dates right now.

Elk Hunting – In Gods Land

Been a busy few months, just to share one of the highlights….helping my buddies daughter get her first branch antler bull elk.

Hunting parts of Eastern Oregon can be a pretty big chore.  There are some great bulls there but getting to them takes you up to God’s country and back down several times.   We hunted this year with goats,   this was the first year they were old enough to make the journey.  I’ll be posting a video of our trip soon.
